| Separate Electrical & Electronics Engineering Department has been
established in 1994-95, though it functioned as a part of ECE department since
1984-85, with a view to provide quality education in Electrical Engineering. The
Department has qualified and well experienced staff and full-fledged
laboratories as per curriculum. |

| COURSES |
| The department offers courses on Electrical Machines,
power systems, Control Systems, Measurements, Power Electronics and other relevant subjects.
The courses related to the subjects of electronics are offered by ECE department. |

| LABORATORIES |
|
|
The department has well developed laboratories with latest equipment. The
laboratories include Electrical machines lab, Power system lab, circuit lab and
network lab, control system lab, power electronics, measurements and simulation
(computer) Lab. The electronics lab are provided by ECE department.

| OTHER FACILITIES |
The college library stocks good number of
latest books required by the students and staff. The department has an
exclusive department library.
There is a testing facility in the department and intrument
like voltmeter, megger, insulation testers are tested and test certificates given to
the local electrical contractors. The department computer center with 65 systems has
latest software like mipower, MATLAB, Multisim and the students and faculty are using facility.
The department is also conducting annual national level paper contest for students of the department.
The department also undertakes technical tours and visits to various industrial establishments.

| Programme Educational Objectives (PEOs) |
The Programme Educational objectives (PEOs) of the under graduate programme in
Electrical and Electronics Engineering at G. Pulla Reddy Engineering College (Autonomous),
Kurnool are to prepare graduates to possess the ability to
P1. Apply a broad, fundamental based knowledge, and up-to-date skills required in
performing professional work in Electrical and Electronics Engineering and related
disciplines,
P2. Design works pertaining to Electrical and Electronics Engineering, incorporating
the use of design standards, realistic constraints and consideration of the economic,
environmental and social impact of the design,
P3. Use modern computer software tools to solve Electrical and Electronics Engineering
problems and explain and defend their solutions and communicate effectively using graphic,
verbal and written techniques to all audiencies, and
P4. Pursue a career in a private or governmental organization as a leader or enter
graduate programs in Electrical and Electronics Engineering and related disciplines and
to pursue lifelong learning and research.
